How to migrate from 1Password to storage-p

This guide moves your data from 1Password into storage-p. 1Password can export your entries to a CSV file, which storage-p imports as a generic CSV. Parsing and encryption happen locally, so your passwords are never uploaded in the clear.

Export and import

  1. In 1Password, export your passwords to a CSV file (columns such as name, username, password, url, notes).
  2. In storage-p, open Account → Data → Import.
  3. Choose the exported file (or paste its contents) and review the preview.
  4. Import. Each entry is re-encrypted under your master password on the device before it is stored.

After importing

  1. Spot-check a few items, then run the built-in security audit to catch weak or reused passwords.
  2. Enable TOTP two-factor and set an auto-lock timeout in Account → Security.
  3. Export an encrypted backup (Account → Data) so you have a recovery file.

Delete the plaintext export file from 1Password as soon as the import is verified — it contains your passwords in clear text.
